Established in 1982, in Dalby Queensland, the firm has been built on family principals and with a vision to create quality partnerships with staff, clients and the wider community.

The founder, Lee Carmichael, started the business with wife Lyn after years working in the construction industry. The partnership of LK & LA Carmichael was formed, with most of its early work secured in the residential sector.

During the 1990′s the company moved into the industrial and commercial market, while maintaining a strong presence in residential work. In the early to mid ’90s Lee’s sons, Tony, John and Glen, started their carpentry apprenticeships with the company and a change of name to Carmichael Builders Pty Ltd was made to reflect the greater family involvement.

In the past ten years the company has witnessed its most significant growth, continuing to employ quality staff and opening new offices in Toowoomba, Mackay and Brisbane, allowing the company to services its ever-expanding list of clients across Queensland.

The company’s expansion throughout the state has not diminished its family values. Today, the quality standards that were put in place by Lee and Lyn almost 30 years ago remain the same, with the company placing a strong emphasis on partnerships with clients, staff and contractors.

It is these partnerships and commitment to quality that will see Carmichael Builders remain a project builder of choice throughout Queensland.
